Dick and Penny Weiss brought us this little bird for what I like to call a ‘resto-upgrade’. This will be Penny’s little hot rod, as Dick has a few of his own. Mechanically speaking, we have added a rack-and-pinion steering set up, front disc brakes and a complete suspension rebuild on the original, powder-coated frame. The original 312 Y-block will be dressed/hopped up as well. As you can see in the pictures, the car came in relatively rough, but is nearing the painting stage. It will be a dark, pearl blue with a custom interior mixing old and new designed by our favorite artist Eric Brockmeyer and fabricated, stitched and sewn by none other than Ron Mangus of Custom Auto Interiors, in Rialto, California.
