This hot little '67 Camaro has a racy small block Chevy married a 6-speed
manual trans and is owned by David Reid. He brought it to us with hopes of
doing a few small repairs and getting back onto the street with it. Yeah,
right! David's quest for the perfect street fighter led him to what you see
here. The condenses list of mods/upgrades includes: removing the factory
drip rails for a sleek roof profile, installing flush-fit glass that eliminates the normal front and rear window moldings (very sanitary, a wise
investment), adding a custom fabbed intake, and exhaust, system (look at the
rear quarter panels, behind the tires as well as the front bumper valance), creating a custom grille that isn't 'too' custom so we didn't lose the
classic Camaro front end design among other small changes. David also found
an upholstery shop that was able to create the interior he has wanted for
years. Wrapping
all this up is another of our custom-mixed colors called "Candy Apple Reid. All in all, this is an interesting take
on a popular car
that has been done so many different ways since its inception that it is
hard to do something unique and appropriate. I think The Hammer is a success
on all counts and has "hit the nail on the head".
